Mulberry & Pine is a thoughtfully reimagined architectural retreat set on 2.5 acres in Pioneertown, transforming a modest house and detached garage into a cohesive, spacious two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home. The remodel is anchored by a glass corridor that not only unites the original structures but also introduces a strong spatial rhythm—clearly delineating public and private zones while framing curated views of the desert landscape. Influenced by Modern Scandinavian principles and grounded in the California desert vernacular, the design emphasizes clean lines, natural materials, and generous light, with large picture windows and a central breezeway reinforcing the seamless indoor-outdoor connection. The architecture is elevated by the owner’s personal touches—art, textiles, and handcrafted decor—infusing the space with warmth and authenticity while complementing the structural clarity. Outdoors, layered living spaces including a dining patio, hot tub, and open-air cinema extend the architecture into the landscape, offering an immersive and welcoming Hi Desert experience.
